Air Force Commercialization Initiative: SBIR/STTR Open Topic [Webinar Recording]

September 15, 2020

In this on-demand webinar, hear from a panel of experts of how you can start doing business with the federal government.

Does your small business have an innovative technology that may be of interest to the federal government?

Learn about the US Air Force’s AFWERX initiative that offers a rare opportunity for small, innovative companies — including student-led startups — to apply for funding to advance technologies that the companies believe would serve the Air Force’s mission. The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization.

CTSBDC partnered with the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN), UCONN, CTNext, and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) to present a webinar providing critical information on this extremely rare opportunity for innovative businesses in Connecticut and beyond to submit proposals promoting their technologies to the US Air Force. AFWERX, in partnership with Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), and the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN), developed the SBIR Open Topics to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and transition rate of the SBIR program.

Affiliated with a research institution? Check out the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Open Topic.
