The following webinars are being offered as a series and will include an in-person event in May, with details to be announced. The intended audience for the series is small businesses with sales activity for 2+ years and little to no exporting experience. These webinars are NOT intended for Start-Ups.

Please select the webinar(s) you are interested in attending. You must register in our system for one of them, and when you do so, you will receive a WebEx link. This WebEx link will allow you to enter your name and e-mail address to attend one or multiple events. There will be five webinars in the series, with the in-person event listed separately once details are final. Please check back for updates.

Exprot Series 2023 Grants

Attendees will learn to access the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grant, Food Export Northeast, and US Department of Agriculture programs and eligibility requirements.

The STEP grant is designed to help Connecticut’s small business community thrive in the global marketplace by increasing the value of small business exports, increasing the number of businesses that export, and increasing the number of businesses exploring significant new trade opportunities.

Food Export Northeast is a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of services to facilitate trade between Northeastern food suppliers and importers worldwide.

International Trade Finance: An Interactive Conversation

Join us for this in-person international trade event on September 20, 2023, including two moderated panel discussions; a small business exporter panel and an international trade finance panel. A networking reception will take place following the program (5 PM - 6 PM)

  • Small business owners will share their experiences about how they got involved in exporting, the state and federal government services they utilized, and the impact exporting has had on their businesses.
  • International trade finance experts will discuss a variety of financing options that can help increase export sales, gain access to specific export working capital financing as well as longer-term financing to support capital asset acquisition.  Learn about the tools, techniques, and best practices for international credit management, international payment terms, managing today's longer payment terms, supply chain disruptions, and economic factors that can impact overseas customers.
