Jim Jackson has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor.  He counsels entrepreneurs and small business owners, helping them to build products and services their customers and community value and use. He also encourages their passions, energy and willingness to jump back after mistakes—essential characteristics for being a business owner—as he guides them through developing business plans & budgets, market opportunities, challenges and decisions.

Jim has 23 years in small business management and strategy consulting along with more than 25 years prior experience in product design, manufacturing and management.  He was involved in an early high-tech startup and served as General Manager of a Fortune 300 aerospace division. In 1996 he co-founded the award-winning Side Street to Main Street Business & Leadership Development Program to help minority business owners in Middlesex County and beyond develop formal business plans and build leadership and management skills needed to start or expand their businesses.  The program begins its 22nd year in the fall of 2018.

As a “recovering engineer” Jim loves to fix and improve things in the world around him as well as hike and observe nature in the wild.
