Patent Basics
Starting with an overview of several types of patents, including utility, design, and plant, this session will also review the difference and use of both provisional patent applications and non-provisional patent applications. We will also describe the patent prosecution process, the role of the U.S. patent examiner, and what to expect when working with the USPTO, in addition to sharing information about several patent prosecution programs and initiatives available to applicants.
