Equip your business to compete — and win — at the CT Business Matchmaker.

Contracting with government agencies and large corporate buyers requires more than certifications and a capability statement — it requires capacity.

On Oct. 14 at 12 p.m., join the Connecticut Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC) and the Connecticut District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for a practical online learning session designed to help you prepare for the Connecticut Business Matchmaker.

While most procurement workshops focus on registrations (SAM.gov), SBA certifications, or how to identify opportunities, this program will go deeper into another critical area buyers evaluate when making buying decisions: your business’s ability to deliver.

We’ll cover key aspects of capacity planning for procurement and contracting, including:

  • Production Capacity – meeting demand at scale without sacrificing quality.
  • Human Capital Capacity – building the workforce and skills to perform.
  • Administrative Capacity – ensuring systems and processes support compliance.
  • Financial Capacity – having the resources to sustain and grow through contracts.

We will also provide information and tips about the CT Business Matchmaker to ensure you have a successful event.

The CT District Office of the SBA has partnered with the state of Connecticut to bring small businesses The CT Business Matchmaker, a high-impact networking event designed to connect businesses with government buyers and prime contractors to strengthen our national/local supply chains and open opportunities of procurement for CT businesses. One-on-one prescheduled matchmaking meetings are at the heart of the CT Business Matchmaker. Businesses will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with buyers from federal, state and local agencies as well as prime contractors.
