Begoña Sevilla Fernández

Begoña is a bilingual international journalist from Spain with more than 15 years of experience awarded with 7 Emmy Awards from the American National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, achieved in record time, less than three years living in the country, and with a temporary work permit.
She was the anchor and investigative reporter for Univision in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received the Emmy Award for Best News Anchor and Best Reporter, among others. Begoña also worked as an executive producer and international correspondent for Voice of America- Latin American Division in Washington, DC. where she received 3 Emmy Awards for her excellent work.
In Spain, she is a renowned journalist with extensive experience in national TV channels such as National Radio Public Television (RTVE), Informativos Tele 5, and Antena 3 Noticias, radio, and other media.
As an expert in communications and social media, she was appointed communications manager and social media strategist for the electricity multinational company Iberdrola-Avangrid at its headquarters in Orange, Connecticut. She also worked for the Embassy of Spain in Washington, DC as a communications strategist, public relations, and social media expert. Last year, she worked for the well-known Biznet Latina Summit in its edition in New York City as a media liaison and videographer, among other companies.
Her dedication to the non-profit sector and her desire to make a meaningful impact on our communities continuously fuels her drive and enthusiasm. Moreover, she collaborated with Artelatam, Contemporary Latinos Artists Organization based in New York City, and the non-profit Ibero American Action League in Rochester, NY, and Latinas Unidas, based in Rochester, NY as a communications consultant and Spanish teacher.
One of her passions is sharing her knowledge and empowering women. She participated in four books in Spanish oriented to the Latino community. Begoña gifts the reader with crucial moments in her life and talks about how she became an outstanding journalist today.
Begoña holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Rey Juan Carlos and the Public Radio-Television of Spain (RTVE). and has a double degree in Journalism and Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing at the Public University of the Basque Country, Spain.
