Mary Kay Della Camera
Business Advisor
Mary Kay Della Camera is passionate about helping people reach their full potential, accessing the resources they need to succeed with their small business. Mary Kay has been working with the CT Small Business Development Center since its relaunch in 2013. She serves as the Microenterprise Business Advisor working with pre-venture clients across the state and across all industries, to develop and refine their business plan, connect with the right resources, assist with navigating Federal and state regulations relative to business start, and guiding entrepreneurs through the challenges and execution of their business decisions.
Mary Kay earned her BA in Religious Studies from Albertus Magnus College and her MS in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University. She went on to earn a Sixth Year Professional Diploma in Administration-Supervision from Southern Connecticut State University. She has extensive experience in business advising, assessment, resource provision, project management, and outreach. Her work experience is within the medical, mental health, public education, and small business sectors. She was both humbled and honored to receive the ASBDC State Star Award for Connecticut in both 2014 and 2019 in addition to receiving the 2016 Celebrate CT! Connie Maffeo Customer Service Award.
In her free time, Mary Kay enjoys reading, hiking with her family, scrapbooking, and volunteering.
